St. Thomas the Apostle Catholic Mission

      We are honoured to be in partnership with the St. Thomas Catholic Mission since the new church was opened in 2004. The relationship with the folks from St. Thomas, part of the Parish of St. Mary’s and the Missions in Owen Sound actually began before the new church opened. They made a major financial contribution to the building fund and we worked alongside one another building the new church. These folks are also active in the ongoing maintenance of the building and help with the surrounding gardens. Each year, we celebrate the Christmas season with a joint pot luck supper where we enjoy a round of carol singing. Members of St. Thomas Catholic Mission are also active helping with our Annual Chicken Barbecue and work many shifts at the Thrift Store. We are blessed by this relationship as together we live out our faith!

Within earshot of the Chi‑Cheemaun’s horn as it docks just down the road, our community in Tobermory is hosted by the United Church in a lovely newer Church on Brock Street. Because of the distance to travel in the Parish our Bishop has permitted us to celebrate the Service here on Saturday morning at 11:30 a.m.
