TUC Pancake Supper – February 17th!

Tobermory United Church is gearing up to once again host the annual Shrove Tuesday pancake supper, Feb. 17, 5:00 to 7:00 p.m. at the Tobermory Community Centre. The meal includes pancakes, farmers’ sausages, homemade baked beans, fruit, desserts and refreshments. Not only will you be served a wonderful meal, but in the midst of a stormy winter, it will be great to get out and see some friends and neighbours! Admission is by donation.

The following morning, February 18, all are welcome to participate in an Ash Wednesday service at Tobermory United Church at 10:00 a.m. to acknowledge the beginning of Lent. This will be a joint service with St. Edmund’s Anglican and will be co-led by Pastor Janaki Bandara and Rev. Sheryl Spencer

Tobermory United’s annual meeting will be held Feb. 22 following the morning service and lunch.

Each week, Tobermory United sends out an informative (and often funny) e-blast, not only to those associated with our community of faith but to anyone who is interested in keeping up with our goings-on. The e-blast, sent out on Saturday mornings, includes a reflection on the upcoming service, announcements, information on events – associated with Tobermory United and in the community – and cartoons! If you would like to receive the e-blast, send an e-mail to tucblast@gmail.com. In fact, we’re looking for someone to take over the creation and distribution of the e-blast.
